Saturday: The 2007 Friedman All-Alumni Reunion kicked off with a cocktail reception at Les Zygomates, a local French wine bar and bistro. As part of the cocktail reception, there was a special hour for 1980s alumni only, in honor of the School’s 25th anniversary this year.

Sunday: Alumni, students, faculty and friends gathered for the Sunday Brunch program, which featured the presentation of the 2007 Friedman School Alumni Association Awards and a program entitled “Back to the Future” where speakers topics ranged from their perspectives of the early days of the school, to where the school is going, and what life is like as a current Friedman student.

Monday: Three distinguished graduates shared their advice about careers in industry at an Alumni Career Panel. Later that day, over 150 people attended the Gershoff Symposium. This year’s symposium was titled "Body Weight: The Multifactorial Determinants of Eating Behavior" At the close of the symposium, Dr. Gershoff with the Friedman School had the pleasure and honor of presenting the inaugural Stanley N. Gershoff, Simon J. Simonian, Arpi A. Simonian Prize for Research Excellence in Nutrition Science and Policy to Cheryl Gilhooly, MS, MPH, RD. This prize was established in 2006 by the generosity of Simon and Arpi Simonian. The purpose of the prize is to honor a Masters or Doctoral student who has excelled in their chosen field of study and who exemplifies the creativity and dedication to the discipline of nutrition of Dr. Stanley Gershoff.
